More Taipei firsts & some repeats

Lunch with Will @ Sogo.

Spicy miso ramen.

A fake traffic guard! So cute.

Aaaaand we're back.  This is actually getting pretty fun--drinks, snacks & comfy chairs? I'm in.

Just a small portion of stuffed animal heaven.  & the store associate barging in because there are no pictures allowed.  Too late o.o

Hello giant seal

Trying Vinya's baked bolognese and orange raspberry soda.  Delicious!

Right before hitting 29/30 balloons!  You can't tell by the dazed look on my face but I am totally drive-by material.

Inside the Beitou subway train, spa-themed to match with the hot spring motif of Beitou.

Din Tai Fung for the first time outside of the states!
Downstairs @ the Sogo in Tianmu.

Their signature steamed dumplings.

Each dumpling supposedly has 18 folds exactly-no less, no more.  IF you find one that doesn't, you can send it back for another one!  I tried counting for fun but it's actually quite difficult.

Spicy sesame noodles.  So good!

I totally forgot to take a picture of my fave dish of spicy wontons, so this closeup will have to do.  My first time trying it with a vegetable/meat filling.

Caramel java chip frap for our first time at Starbucks in Taiwan.

Super cool escalator in Carrefour that locks in your shopping cart magnetically.

Ahhh I died!!! Especially that little ghost macaron in the bottom row.  Would've totally gotten it if it weren't lychee flavored.
@ Le Plaisir in ATT 4 Fun

Ended up choosing a blueberry cream cheese macaron.  The BEST macaron I've ever had!  They need to bring this to the states. Pronto.

Just a plastic mold in front of a restaurant but suuuupa cute.  We need to come back here.

Cute Asian McDonalds ad.

Acquiring snacks before going in to watch Perks of Being a Wallflower.  A churro + hot dog + popcorn + soda, all for under $10US.  Amazing!

Late night dinner with Jeff's parents in a Taiwanese beer house.

Lots of excited & loud people with a bit of alcohol in them.

Crispy bread and garlic oysters.

Very similar to walnut shrimp.  Breaded shrimp with mayo.

Sliced pork with garlic sauce.

Something along the lines of snails or slugs I believe?? Not too bad.

Referencing picture of the size of each plate.  Small bites that are supposed to be paired with beer.

Bamboo shoots with mayo.

Suuuuper moist and flavorful charbroiled white fish.

& the best for last.  A giant (what was considered SMALL on the menu) pot of fish head soup with fish balls, octopus, tofu skin, shrimp, cabbage, enoki mushrooms & a lot more.
