Jeff's birthday week

I've pretty much posted all of these on Facebook already but I figured I'll post em here too w better descriptions of what actually happened this past week-ish~

SO...this 25th birthday week started about last...Wednesday, April 11--hot pot @ Boiling Point & Taiyaki @ Mitsuwa with our daughter, Sandie.  Fake daughter mind you- let's not get any ideas here.

Thursday, April 12--RA Sushi with Yerin, Luan, Dennis & Krit. Happy hour @ RA for a couple hours, migrated to Nothing Bundt Cakes so I could get my sugar fix for the day only to find out it was CLOSED : ( so had to settle with Whole Foods' sadly disappointing dessert....but we made up for it by a couple hours of mindless button-mashing while playing Tekken back at Jeffy's hahaha
This + many more not pictured

Friday, April 13--I guess the first actual day we started celebrating his 25th~ Headed up to Rowland for the daytime- Dim Sum @ Capital Seafood, Half & Half boba, & a couple hours at Diamond Family Spa playing Nintendo DS's with the little kids we happened to meet there...lol. Then drove up to Downtown LA for R23!  First time for both of us, but luckily we have the same taste buds & everything on our Prix Fixe menu was deliciouuus.
Us @ Capital Seafood
Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. Not pictured: their famous Dungeness Crab Salad, Akadashi Soup, Miso Black Cod, Spicy Tuna & Crab wrap, DTG Roll, House Sake, Sapporo & Chardonnay.
& dessert of course! Little birthday mochis
..which obviously wasn't enough for me so Miss Coffee in K-Town filled the void.  HUGE Fruit Shaved Ice, I'm pretty sure they were using at least a half-gallon Pyrex glass to serve it to us in.

Saturday, April 14--Our attempt to go to the 626 Night Market in Pasadena, which was a biiiiiiig mistake.  The second we got there we wanted to turn around...which we basically did b/c we somehow found Brian, Jenny & Leighton within the mess & headed over to Garden Cafe to avoid the hour-long lines for boba alone.  Never have I ever (nor wish to ever again) seen so many people packed into one block-- And when I say people, I mean mostly Asian moms with strollers running over my toes and upper middle-aged men & women straight from Asia shoving us around, thinking we're gonna swoop in & take their spots in the outrageous lines. Nope no thank you for us~

Sunday, April 15--Spent the whole morning in Oceanside for some errands, but came back to Irvine for a late-ish lunch @ Fukada.  I can't remember what else we did that day.....all I remember was that we were super starved by the time we got to Fukada & we ended up ordering everything.  Story of our lives
Sashimi Salad mMmmmMm
Delicious Squid Legs
& This is where our food pictures stop. We got too hungry & forgot to take pictures of our Spicy Tuna Bowls & Udon~
TEMPURA ICE CREAM! Sank you boyfriend for humoring me & my recent fixation with dessert

Monday, April 16--JEFF'S (actual) BIRTHDAY! Started off with my rendition on breakfast in bed-- since I can't remember the last time I turned on the stove, AND the fact that I had morning class, I resorted to what I call Panera-in-bed.  Makes sense if you think about it.  Headed out for our usual 3-4-times a week visit to Freshii, & Gen Korean BBQ with Lillian, Keson & Alex for dinner, where we spent the time there PhotoAge-ing each other & mindlessly telling jokes (mostly Jeff)
Plain tart with strawberries & vanilla chips.  I hope we never tire of this
I think Lillian and I alone ate about 4 bowls of garlic together.  Go us
Just thought I'd throw this in to show much we can actually eat, if that wasn't already apparent with all the food pictures I've been posting.  According to this we had 19 orders of beef brisket & 9 orders of different types of Kalbi .... ??

Tuesday, April 17--Buffalo Wild Wings & Mochilato with Sandie, Peter & Dennis.
Jeff and I had about 5 orders (30 wings) between us.  I...yea...sigh
Once again there is ALWAYS room for dessert no matter how full I am.  It's weird, really. Beard Papa's cream puffs @ Mochilato
hi cute birthday boy
Boys playing basketball working off all the food from earlier, while Sandie & I attempted to do the same by walking up and down the court a million times (lol).  But I'll take what I can get--I can't even remember the last time I tried to work off anything x_x
...except we came home to find that his aunt had dropped off homemade black forest cake for him hahahaha. When will we ever lose weight? Question of the year.  Yummmy cake sighs~

Wednesday, April 18--Ruth's Chris Happy Hour with Sandie, Peter, Chris, Yerin & Luan. SO DELICIOUS! mhmhmhm
Seared Ahi Tuna, Spicy Lobster, Beef Tenderloin Skewers
Steak sandwich
Closeup of Ahi Tuna.  Delicious, aesthetically pleasing foods sigh..my weakness (besides dessert)
Where it started for me & Yerin--Pomegranate Martini & Moscow Mule
85 Sea Salt Green Tea from Yerin & Luan in preparation for our Grey Goose endeavors for the night....prior to mine and Luan's 8ams the next morning.  Perhaps not such a good idea in hindsight~ tahaha

Thursday, April 19--Mastro's Steakhouse with Dennis.  The.most.amazing.steak.EVER! & everything else too.  Thank you thank you for dinner, sir
Steak Sushi over garlic mashed potatoes.  Melted..in..my..mouth.......
Hamachi with ponzu, curry oil, & fried garlic
Our GIANT serving of Lobster Mashed Potatoes..probably enough for 5-6 people o.o
Half of the 33oz. Ribeye.  Honestly, I'm usually not a fan of steak in general...but this has definitely changed my mind
About to get our taste buds blown by our Ribeye
Dennis the health freak uncomfortable with those mashed potatoes sitting right in front of him~ heheheh
Our "Happy Anniversary" Cake.  Wait what? ...but who am I to complain about chocolate cake heehe. Walked around Southcoast for a couple hours after to digest, probably burned off the calories of...one bite of mashed potatoes.  Totally worth it for Mastro's ~

Friday, April 20--Went up to Rusnak Arcadia to pick up Jeffy's new car! Pitstop at Yen Sushi along the way.  I had thought I was having sushi withdrawals but upon writing this blog post I realize I had hamachi the night before.  Regardless, one can never have too much sushi anyways
Popcorn Lobster & Disco Shrimp Roll.  Faveys
Honey Boba in Arcadia.  Why are you so far away....... Best boba shop eva in my opinion. & CUTE!  Perfect for the hot day at the dealership & before exploring Santa Anita Mall
Stopped by Rowland for dinner on our way back from Arcadia.  MJ Cafe's Tomato Fried Rice
And our ridiculously huge (and cute) fresh watermelon juice

Saturday, April 21--Drove back up to N. Hollywood to do some finishing touches to the new E.  Lunch at Oomasa in Little Tokyo afterwards + skewers of Takoyaki and Chicken Kara-age at the little stand in the middle of the plaza ~ Walked around for a lil bit & headed back down, just to find lots of traffic on the way back sooooo we ended up stopping at Bella Terra in Huntington for some caffeine, Johnny Rockets & watched American Reunion.  Hilarious even though I haven't seen the 4 or so movies before it tahaaha
NY Steak Bowl, I forgot which kind of udon but it was DELICIOUS, & Seared Fatty Salmon/Negitoro Bowl

Sunday, April 22--Fashion Island & studying at Pain du Monde before we had dinner with my family~
Blackberry Lemon Muffin & Caramel Latte blended
Hot pot @ Kingswood in Rowland Heights
The sole reason why Jess & I love this place so much
 Taiwanese shaved ice~
From our childhood!

SUPER LONG POST! I guess a lot more happened than I thought.  And at last we have concluded all the pictures we took from these last 10 days~ most of them are just pictures of things we usually do on a normal basis but I thought I'd include them in here anyways hahaha. Hope u had a happy birsday boyfriend!
