We went to visit my older sister in LA today and had a long catch up day. I was still wired off of the decaf java chip frap from the day before...decaf! I slept a total of four hours... unbelievable. We had lunch at Dog Haus in Pasadena then went to the Americana to walk it off. Had more cupcakes from Crumbs Bakery & went apartment-shopping for my sister and her fiance. The store front apartments are GORGEOUS! One day.... We then visited Griffith Observatory. Weren't planning on it, but it happened to be on our route so we stopped by. It's beautiful! You can see the Hollywood sign on one side, the entire LA city on the other. We went during the day but I'm sure it'd be even more gorgeous at nighttime. Headed back to downtown for a couple hours of relaxation--fruit snacks, Tangled, and a long, much-needed nap, then went to a mom & pop Italian restaurant, Alejo's. Super hole-in-the-wall, pretty ghetto from the outside, but once we stepped inside the little store it was PACKED. We had to wait around 15-20 min and I can totally see why. The food was freshly prepared & delicious. They even served us all garlic toast as we were waiting for our table!
